We are thrilled to celebrate an incredible achievement by Anna Huang, a former student of our Head Coach David here at Canada Golf Academy. At just 16 years old, Anna has made history by winning the LET La Sella Open on the prestigious Ladies European Tour (LET) with a dominant wire-to-wire performance.
Anna carded a remarkable -20 total, finishing seven strokes ahead of the field to capture her first professional title.
Why this victory matters
- The Ladies European Tour (LET) is one of the world’s top professional women’s golf tours, ranked just below the LPGA in global standing.
- Winning here means competing — and triumphing — against elite professional golfers from around the world, across four days of high-intensity, 72-hole competition.
- Anna’s victory makes her the youngest champion in LET history, a remarkable achievement at only 16 years old.
- With this triumph, she secures valuable world ranking points that will support her journey towards competing on the LPGA Tour.
- She also takes home a significant winner’s prize purse ( €150,000), showcasing just how important and competitive this stage is.
A proud moment for Canada
This milestone is not only a personal victory for Anna but also a proud moment for Canadian golf. Following in the footsteps of her idol, Brooke Henderson, Anna’s performance shines a spotlight on the rising strength of young Canadian golfers on the international stage.
As her early development included time with our Head Coach David, we at Canada Golf Academy are especially proud to have played a small role in her journey. Her dedication, talent, and mindset are an inspiration for all our junior golfers.
Congratulations, Anna!
From her first steps in junior golf to this unforgettable victory on the professional stage, Anna has proven what is possible when hard work meets talent.
We cannot wait to see what comes next in her career — the future is truly bright!
