The horn has sounded for the upcoming competitive golf season! Canada Golf Academy (CGA) is excited to share that registration for the 2026 Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) British Columbia schedule is officially open—launching well ahead of other provinces.
Thanks to our favourable West Coast climate, BC boasts the earliest junior tournament season in Canada. While players in other parts of the country are still waiting for the snow to melt, Vancouver juniors will be teeing it up by mid-March. This provides a massive strategic advantage for our local athletes to enter competitive form early and get a head start on accumulating valuable Order of Merit points.
Key 2026 Season Openers to Remember:
- MJT Mini Tour (Ages 7-12): The season kicks off on March 16 at Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club.
- MJT Junior Tour (Ages 11-19): The opening event tees off on March 20 at University Golf Club (UBC).
Action Required: Spots Fill Quickly. Tournaments hosted at highly sought-after venues such as UBC and Morgan Creek are notorious for selling out extremely fast. We strongly advise parents and players to plan their competitive calendar now and secure their registrations immediately to avoid being waitlisted.
Shift into Tournament Prep Mode. With the first tee time just about 8 weeks away, the countdown has officially begun. Even though it might still be raining outside, now is the critical time to shift your focus from off-season mechanics to active tournament preparation.
Whether you need assistance navigating the MJT registration process, understanding the age divisions, or are looking for intensive CGA tournament prep programs to sharpen your on-course skills, our coaching team is here to help.
We wish all junior golfers the best of luck this year. Let’s make the 2026 season your year for Personal Bests! Contact Canada Golf Academy today to get tournament-ready.
